photo by Riley Woods. Shot in Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA.
I’ve been on a book tour for about 3 months now. Throughout this trip I’ve been finding various places to busk and hone in on my poetry skills to sell my words and make a presence on the streets. Mostly I’ve been writing haikus about my surroundings or personalized poems for a commission. Seattle actually ended up being a pretty dry market compared to some of the places I busked in California and Oregon, but it all balances out. I sold some books and wrote some of my best nature haikus using the Northwestern rainforest and mount Rainier as my inspiration. Those evergreen trees haunting in their ever-presence.
I got a bit of an overstock, so expect a postcard if I’ve asked for your mailing address recently. You could also subsribe to receive a postcard here: http://dreampoetforhire.tumblr.com or send an email to dreampoetforhire@gmail.com
